Admission will be based on JEE (Advanced) – 2025 Rank. The Candidates must satisfy at least one of the following two criteria with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in the year of first appearance in the Class XII (or equivalent examination):
The marks scored in the following five subjects will be considered for calculating the aggregate marks and the cut-off marks for fulfilling the top 20 percentile criterion: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, A language and Any subject other than the above four.

Reservation Policy in admissions as per the Government of India directives and at par with IITs will be applicable. The certificate of the category (OBC / SC / ST / EWS) must be submitted during the admission process wherever applicable. In the case of OBC/ EWS, this category certificate must be issued by a competent authority not a rank lower than Tahsildar on or after April 01, 2025.
Students must have qualified JEE (Advanced) 2025 and are required to apply separately for IIPE counselling through the Online Application Portal. Admissions will be based on the JEE (Advanced) 2025 scores. The application form can be filled out online only after the payment of the application fee.

Rs. 1500/- for UR/OBC/EWS
Rs. 1000/- for SC/ST/PwD
Candidates provisionally allotted a seat after paying the advance fee must report in person at the IIPE, Visakhapatnam on the day of Registration with their original certificates.
Those opting for hostel accommodation must pay the additional fee during physical registration.
SC/ST/PwD students who have paid the initial advance will be refunded (as per institute norms) within 7–10 days after completing registration.

In addition to the above documents, the verifying officials will also check the special eligibility conditions, if any, for all the choices including and above the seat allotted to the candidate.
Visakhapatnam is the only Legal Jurisdiction for any dispute arising on the eve of admissions into IIPE. In case of disputes, Hon'ble High Court at Amaravathi, Andhra Pradesh is the legal jurisdiction.
