Eligibility Criteria

Check your eligibility before applying.

Admission will be based on JEE (Advanced) – 2025 Rank. The Candidates must satisfy at least one of the following two criteria with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in the year of first appearance in the Class XII (or equivalent examination):

  • Must have secured at least 75% aggregate marks in the Class XII (or equivalent) Board examination. The aggregate marks for SC, ST and PwD candidates should be at least 65%
  • Must be within the category-wise top 20 percentile of successful candidates in their respective Class XII (or equivalent) board examination.

The marks scored in the following five subjects will be considered for calculating the aggregate marks and the cut-off marks for fulfilling the top 20 percentile criterion: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, A language and Any subject other than the above four.

Reservation

Reservation Policy in admissions as per the Government of India directives and at par with IITs will be applicable. The certificate of the category (OBC / SC / ST / EWS) must be submitted during the admission process wherever applicable. In the case of OBC/ EWS, this category certificate must be issued by a competent authority not a rank lower than Tahsildar on or after April 01, 2025.

Starting an Application

Students must have qualified JEE (Advanced) 2025 and are required to apply separately for IIPE counselling through the Online Application Portal. Admissions will be based on the JEE (Advanced) 2025 scores. The application form can be filled out online only after the payment of the application fee.

Instructions for Allotted
Candidates

Candidates provisionally allotted a seat after paying the advance fee must report in person at the IIPE, Visakhapatnam on the day of Registration with their original certificates.

Those opting for hostel accommodation must pay the additional fee during physical registration.

SC/ST/PwD students who have paid the initial advance will be refunded (as per institute norms) within 7–10 days after completing registration.

Required Documents for Registration (Originals + Two Photocopies) to be submitted on Registration Day:

  1. All certificates (Pass Certificate, if any and Marks Sheets/ Grade Cards) for 10th and 12th Class
  2. Original Admit Card of JEE (Advanced) 2025 and Downloaded Score Card of JEE (Advanced) 2025
  3. Date of Birth proof (SSC / XII Certificate which contains the Date of Birth)
  4. Provisional Seat Allotment Letter along with copy of the application
  5. Proof of payment of advance fee for seat acceptance of Rs. 92,200 (for GEN, EWS, OBC) or Rs. 17,200 (for SC, ST)
  6. Colour Passport Size and Stamp Size Photographs with white background (at least 12 numbers each)
  7. Duly certified original medical report from Government Medical Officer OR download Medical Certificate-IIPE
  8. Copy of Aadhaar Card
  9. Physical Disability certificate (if applicable) for PwD candidates
  10. Certificate of category (OBC / SC / ST / EWS), if applicable (Issued by competent authority)
  11. Anti-ragging undertaking (Please download and fill the form)
  12. Rules regulation undertaking (Please download and fill the form)
  13. For OBC(NCL)/SC/ST/OBC-NCL: Category certificate
  14. In case of OBC-NCL/GEN-EWS category, the certificate must be issued on or after 1st April 2025
  15. For EWS: Income & Asset Certificate (must be certified by officer not below rank of Tahsildar in State/UT)

In addition to the above documents, the verifying officials will also check the special eligibility conditions, if any, for all the choices including and above the seat allotted to the candidate.

Refund Policy

  1. Admission fee of the candidates not selected in the final list will be totally refunded.
  2. In the event of a candidate withdrawing before the last date of withdrawal, the admission fee will be refunded after deduction of the processing fee of Rs. 2500/-.
  3. If any candidate withdraws his/her admission after the last date of withdrawal, only caution money will be refunded.
  4. The refund process will be initiated after the completion of the admission process only.

Legal Jurisdiction

Visakhapatnam is the only Legal Jurisdiction for any dispute arising on the eve of admissions into IIPE. In case of disputes, Hon'ble High Court at Amaravathi, Andhra Pradesh is the legal jurisdiction.
